Train Times Multiplication Tables

A simple colourful visual aid to introduce the concept of tables (up to 5 x table).

• As the train comes out of the tunnel, the train is stopped to reveal a certain number of carriages and sets of people within.
  
• How many people are there showing? Children will start by counting the people and move on to counting in 3s, 4s or 5s etc. leading to 4 x 3 = 12 and 12 ÷ 4 = 3.

Set includes 3 trains and 1 tunnel. Photocopiable masters available as a download.
