An A3 size double-sided card essential for
any classroom! On one side is a clown
holding a set of 25 balloons with a ‘CVC’ word
in each.
The balloons are colour coded
so that children can ‘Speed Read’ the words in
any order, or select a colour to
concentrate on one medial vowel.
On the reverse side, are ‘Flutterbies’ with numbers on their wings. The
yellow butterfly
shows bonds to ten by matching numbers on the wings.
The remaining ‘flutterbies’ make 20 by placing
1 ten in front of
the number on the left wing eg. 16 + 4 or right wing so making
6 + 14.
Seeing the pattern makes bonds to 20 simple.
